Overview of the Rumaila Oil Field in Iraq

The Rumaila Oil Field in Iraq is one of the largest oil fields in the world, and it has been a significant source of oil production for Iraq for many years. Located in the southern part of the country, near the border with Kuwait, the field covers an area of approximately 1,800 square kilometers. It is estimated to hold around 17 billion barrels of oil reserves, making it a highly valuable asset for the Iraqi economy. The development of the Rumaila Oil Field began in the 1950s, when the Iraq Petroleum company (IPC) discovered oil in the area. Production started in 1954, and since then, the field has undergone several phases of development to increase its output. Today, it is operated by the Rumaila Operating Organization (ROO), a joint venture between the state-owned Iraq National Oil Company (INOC), BP, and the china National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). The oil field is divided into three main zones: North Rumaila, Central Rumaila, and South Rumaila. Each zone has its own set of wells and infrastructure, but they all contribute to the overall production of the field. The North Rumaila zone is the largest and most productive, accounting for about 60% of the field’s total output. The Central and South zones, although smaller in size, still play a significant role in the field’s production.
To extract oil from the Rumaila Oil Field, a variety of drilling techniques are used. One common method is the use of 16″ cold drown casing Pipe seamless steel pipe Tubing pipe. This type of pipe is specifically designed to withstand the harsh conditions of oil drilling, including high pressure and extreme temperatures. It is made from high-quality steel and undergoes a rigorous manufacturing process to ensure its durability and reliability.

The 16″ cold drown casing pipe seamless steel pipe tubing pipe is used to line the wellbore, providing structural support and preventing the collapse of the hole. It also serves as a conduit for the oil to flow from the reservoir to the surface. The pipe is installed in sections, with each section connected to the next using threaded connections. This allows for easy installation and removal, as well as the ability to extend the wellbore if needed. Oil PipelineIn addition to the 16″ cold drown casing pipe seamless steel pipe tubing pipe, other equipment and technologies are used in the extraction process. This includes drilling rigs, pumps, and various tools and instruments to monitor
